My family and I recovered from the swine flu (H1N1) back in early October '09.
It was similar to the flu but affected our lungs much more. Coughing would yield
a bit of blood sometime. We were on a regiment of juice high in anti- oxidants,
1,000mg to 2,000mg vitamin C, rest, and Motrin. My 12 y.o. was the last to get
infected. We had him tested and he was diagnosed with swine flu. He got on it
Friday and went back to school on the following Tuesday. H1N1 pandemic seems way
overrated. Also in my opinion I never try meds or vaccines or anything for that
matter that has not been fully tested short and long term. H1N1 long term
testing is still up in the air. Oh yea Obama has not gotten his kids vaccinated
with it yet. Hmmmm?
I researched the history of swine flu vaccines. The
vaccine itself has caused nerve damage in some. A truly sad case was this
Washington Redskin cheerleader whose nerve damage was from the 2009 flu vaccine
this year?

The
attached video has a lady reading the manufacturers insert that the 2009 H1N1
vaccine safety has not been establish for pregnant women, nursing mothers, or
kids under 18. She goes on to mention that pharmaceutical companies are
protected from legal recourse.

All I advise is do your due diligence and research fully. Look at
best and worst case scenarios past and present. Autism has been linked to
vaccines due to the thermosol it contains. Thermosol is partly made up of
mercury. Mercury is known to cause nerve damage. There are families now being
awarded millions because of autism from vaccines.

Jimmy, this is such a great post. I was debating on whether or not to get the vaccine and have thought that its been too over hyped. I've also heard that more people die from the common flu every year. I am glad you and your family got over it. If you don't mind, can you share the symptoms and how you knew you had to get tested for it? my nephew has flu symptoms and I am not sure whether it's the common flu or something more serious.

Thanks! The only lasting effect was a cough that cleared up like a month later for me. The rest of my family recovered without the cough. Exercising cleared up the cough for me later though.
Our symptoms were: Body aches, slow sluggish feeling, tired quickly, mentally drained, chills, and fevers. However, one symptom that was odd was while doing #2 was accompanied buy nausea as well. Just felt like puking while in the act of #2. Hot baths really help wonderfully well when I the chills set in. I did not get tested but when I my 12y.o. got it is when we had him tested. He displayed the same symptoms as the rest of us. Since we were better health to travel, we decided to get him tested while the virus was at its strong stage.

Jimmy, thank you for posting this other perspective about H1N1 and the H1N1 vaccine! I've gotten into the habit of questioning everything I read and hear as well as double- and triple-checking whatever politicians are spewing regardless of which party is doing the spewing. It's so important to examine an issue from all possible vantagepoints. I also haven't been getting my flu vaccinations for the past 3 years and have been fine so far.
I've enjoyed reading your other posts as well. Thanks for your contribution! :)
